On April 5, 2019, a monitoring visit to Hirtop village, Cimislia rayon was undertaken, within the project: "Development of the business infrastructure by connecting localities and local roads on the Corridor 20 - DR South, R34-Sirma-Tomai-Sarateni-Hirtop - to the national road network".

This project, of a total value of about 38 million MDL, is implemented by the RDA South from the National Fund for Regional Development sources.

By the National Coordination Council for Regional Development decision, 17,011,939.61 MDL were allocated from the National Fund for Regional Development for finalizing this project.

The works on this project started in Autumn 2017. Till this moment, 3,1 km of road between Hirtop and Mereni villages have been built, which is, the access road to the economic area. Also, 2.5 km of road from the Corridor 20 - DR South, R34-Sirma-Tomai-Sarateni-Hirtop - R3 was rehabilitated.

At this moment, the contractor - "Acit-Trans" LLC is performing construction works of the sidewalks, access roads to the households and works on covering with ground layer. Afterwards, the construction of the 4,0 cm superior asphalt layer on 4,0 km of the road in the village, and 10 cm thick asphalt superior layer of 1,5 km length on the outside the locality follows. At the last stage, works on installation of the road indicators, lawn sowing  will be performed.

The investment project "Development of the business infrastructure by connecting localities and local roads on the Corridor 20 - DR South, R34-Sirma-Tomai-Sarateni-Hirtop - to the national road network" aims at ensuring a sustainable connectivity between the economically advanced localities from the Development Region South, contributing to the economic development of the localities involved in the project, and having a positive impact on the investment flows in the region.
