Works, technical supervision and copyright contracts regarding the execution of the works within the project “Increasing energy efficiency of “Matei Basarab” Theoretical Lyceum from Basarabeasca town”, financed by the European Union, have been signed

Today, September 28, 2020, inside the Regional Development Agency South, based in Cimișlia, Maria Culeșov, director of the implementing institution, Piotr Pușcari, president of Basarabeasca rayon, and Serghei Cocîrlă, director of "Polimer Gaz Conducte" SRL, signed the contracts for works, technical supervision and copyright on the execution of works within the infrastructure project "Increasing energy efficiency of "Matei Basarab" Theoretical Lyceum in Basarabeasca town", funded by the European Union.

The value of the works contract constitutes MDL 19,665,695.08, the execution duration of the contracted works being 9 months.

The contractor - "Polimer Gaz Conducte" SRL, to whom the contract was awarded, will execute energy efficiency works of the Theoretical Lyceum "Matei Basarab" from Basarabeasca town. As a result of energy efficiency measures, over 270 pupils, teachers and auxiliary staff will benefit from improved education conditions and a comfortable study environment.

The educational institution will benefit from energy efficiency measures, such as roof rehabilitation, insulation of building walls, replacement of windows, rehabilitation of heating system, provision of hot and cold water at school taps, renovation of sanitary facilities inside the institution, etc.

During the same event, two more contracts have been signed: for the technical supervision services of the works and for the author supervision services within the project "Increasing energy efficiency of "Matei Basarab" Theoretical Lyceum from Basarabeasca town". The winner for the provision of technical supervision services of the works was designated "VERLUXCONS" SRL, with the contractual offer in the amount of 15 2802.45 lei, the author's supervision will be performed in the process of construction works by "Arhideea" SRL, according to the contract concluded with the respective company, amounting to 58,997.08 lei.

It should be noted that the economic agent, to which the works contract was awarded, was designated the winner of the international tender, procurement code MLPS/GIZ/L/SE/002 of 22.05.2020, organized by the contracting authority, RDA South, based on EU PRAG tender procedures. Compliance with these procedures ensures the objective, transparent and non-discriminatory choice of contractors with competitive offers at the best price-quality ratio or at the best price, while respecting the efficiency of the use of public funds.

The investment measure "Increasing energy efficiency of "Matei Basarab" Theoretical Lyceum from Basarabeasca town" is funded by the European Union in cooperation with the project "Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova", which is implemented by GIZ Moldova in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment and financially supported by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
