The projects implemented by the RDA South are monitored for ensuring qualitative work done in compliance with the commitments

The RDA South team carried out monitoring visits to check the made within the projects funded by the NFRD: "Construction of the inter-communal road Feşteliţa-Marianca de Jos - Ştefan Vodă and its connection to the national road R30 Chişinău - Căuşeni - Ukraine Border" and "Construction of the Sewerage in the Traian valley sector and modernization of the treatment plant in Căuşeni "

Firstly, the RDA team visited the "Construction of the Sewerage in the Traian valley sector and modernization of the treatment plant in Căuşeni " project. At the first stage of this project, the construction of the sewerage networks in the Traian valley sector in Căuşeni town is planned, then, follows the reconstruction of the sewage treatment plant in Căuşeni city. The planned estimated value of the works at the first stage of the project is 7,835,264.98 lei, including VAT.

On July 25, 2017, a large working meeting was convened, attended by: Maria Culeşov , RDA South Director; Andrei Tomescu, expert in drafting, implementing and monitoring projects within the RDA South; Nicolae Gorban, the president of Căuşeni district; Grigore Repeşciuc, the mayor of Căuşeni; Alexandru Ciocan, the director of "POLIMER GAZ CONSTRUCŢII" SRL; the director of the "Apă Canal Căuşeni", the technical manager and other officials responsible for the project implementation. The subject of the meeting was: reviewing the difficulties and obstacles in starting construction works, reviewing problems and identifying solutions.

At the meeting, the entrepreneur highlighted several issues, including:

• Lack of official approval from the State Road Administration and Railway Directorate regarding the execution of works in the protected zone and the crossing of the communications belonging to them,
• The acceleration of tracing of the axes and terminals, as well as the materialization of the level quotas, which fall under the beneficiary's obligations,
• Weaknesses for some works in the specification as well as other issues.

As a result, it was decided to set up a working group that, starting with 26.07.2017 will go to the field in order to identify the obstacles in carrying out the works, these will be specified in a single document that later are going to be transmitted to the entrepreneur.

Regarding the entrepreneur's activity, he deployed on the spot some of the staff and the technique necessary to start the construction work.

We would like to remind that on July 13, 2017, Maria Culeşov, Director of the RDA South, Nicolae Gorban, the President of Căuseni, and Alexandru Ciocan, the Director of the "POLIMER GAZ CONSTRUCTII" SRL, signed the entrepreneurship contract of the first stage of the Project: "Construction of the Sewerage in the Traian valley sector and modernization of the treatment plant in Căuşeni ". As a result, according to the entrepreneurship contract, sewerage networks with a length of 8960 meters will be built. The direct beneficiaries of the project are the 2000 citizens living in the Trail Valley.

Another visit took place in order to monitor the level of implementation of the project's activities: "Construction of the inter-communal road Feşteliţa-Marianca de Jos - Ştefan Vodă and its connection to the national road R30 Chişinău - Căuşeni - Ukraine Border"

Thereby, moving to the construction yard of the inter-communal road Feşteliţa - Marianca de Jos - Ştefan Vodă, the RDA South team witnessed that the works foreseen in the project are in full swing. On the part of the road in the village of Festeliţa, the edges are already fully assembled; the final layer of broken stone has been laid. Soon the asphalt works will begin. On the connecting part of the settlements there were works for the laying of the floor. In Marianca village, a noticeable progress was noticed; the first layer of broken stone has been laid on the entire part of the road.

We mention that the project "Construction of the inter-communal road Feşteliţa-Marianca de Jos - Ştefan Vodă and its connection to the national road R30 Chişinău - Căuşeni - Ukraine Border" is financed by the National Regional Development Fund and has a total value of 23 200 000,00 lei. The project goal is the construction of inter-communal road Feşteliţa-Marianca de Jos - Ştefan Vodă, with a length of 3.88 km, and the interconnection of the local road network with the R30 national road, Chisinau - Căuşeni - Ştefan Vodă - Ukraine. The implementation of this project contributes to reducing the travel time and costs in the partner localities and the region by at least 50%.
