Working visit to Romania, regarding the exchange of experience in water and sanitation

Recently, was held a study visit to Romania, regarding the exchange of experience in the management of water supply system and sanitation. Participants in this event were representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction, Ministry of Environment, GIZ, RDA South, AMAC, operators of municipal water supplier in Moldova, UTM, and CALM, Agency "Moldovan Waters".

In the 4 days of professional study, participants had the opportunity to discuss with experts and practitioners working in this field and to visit several institutions involved in water supply and sanitation.

The event took place from 14 to 19 June 2015 and was organized with the support of GIZ, AMAC and Wilo. The study visit has contributed to obtain relevant information about the water supply system and sanitation in RO, based on a wide and diversified program.

On the first day of the study, participants took part in the exhibition EXPO APA 2015 - regulation of water supply and sanitation at national and European level, still there, they had also the opportunity to participate in the seminar "Implementation of investment projects" and workshop working "legal framework".

The following visit took place at the company Apa Nova Bucharest, which provides water supply services and wastewater collection in the capital. Also, there, have taken place visits to wastewater pumping stations Lăpușului Road and Colentina, as well as at the Glina wastewater treatment station. One of the purposes of these visits was for exchange of experience, new technologies used in the field of water and sanitation.

 

In the Office WILO Romania - the world famous company in producing pumps and pumping systems was held a seminar "Best Technology in the pumping equipment systems and equipment".

An exchange of experiences took place at company RAJA SA CONSTANTA - the largest regional operator in Romania in the field of supplying drinking water to people and wastewater treatment. Study of new technologies in the field of water and sanitation held in Constanta North treatment station and water source Caragea-Dermeni.

The acquired knowledge during travel will contribute to extended cooperation in developing new ideas, and not the least in developing project proposals.

The visit is a part of the project "Modernization of Local Public Services" supported by the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) Moldova and covers the organization of several meetings at the level of the responsible institutions.
