On Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at 14:00, inside the "Constantin Spătaru" Theoretical Lyceum from Leova town, representatives of Regional Development Agency South, Leova City Hall and Leova District Council, have signed the enterprise and technical supervision contracts for the following infrastructure projects, financed by the European Union:

· “Increasing energy efficiency of “Constantin Spătaru” Theoretical Lyceum in Leova town”, the value of the enterprise contract is 52 384 758.00 lei.

· “Extension of sewage system in Leova town. Construction of wastewater pumping station in Leova town”, the value of which is 46 357 628.00 lei.

The contractor "Polimer Gaz Conducte" SRL, to whom the contract was awarded, shall execute energy efficiency works of "Constantin Spătaru" Theoretical Lyceum from Leova. As a result of energy efficiency measures, over 640 students, teachers and support staff will benefit from improved education conditions and a comfortable study environment. The high school will benefit from measures such as rehabilitation of roof, insulation of building walls, replacement of windows, rehabilitation of heating system, provision of hot and cold water at school taps, renovation of sanitary facilities inside the institution, etc.

The contractor will also carry out construction works for the internal sewage networks in Leova town, with a total length of 13.5 km, as well as the connection works of 690 individual households. Thus, over 1,700 inhabitants will have access to centralized sewage through a modern network.

At the same time, the contracts for the technical supervision services of the works within the above-mentioned projects were signed. The winner for the project "Increasing energy efficiency of "Constantin Spătaru” Theoretical Lyceum from Leova” was designated “Verluxcons” SRL with the contractual offer in the amount of 407 029.57 lei. For the project “Extension of sewage system in Leova town. Construction of wastewater pumping station in Leova town”, the winner was designated “Preant” SRL with the contractual offer amounting to 231 788.14 lei.

It should be noted that the economic agent, to whom the contract was awarded, was designated the winner of the international tenders, procurement code MSPL/GIZ/L/SE/002 of 15.05.2020 and MSPL/GIZ/L/SA/001 of 22.05.2020, organized by the contracting authority, RDA South, based on the EU PRAG tender procedures. Compliance with these procedures ensures the objective, transparent and non-discriminatory choice of contractors with competitive offers at the best price-quality ratio or at the best price, while respecting the efficiency of the use of public funds.
