The Second Meeting of the Regional Sectorial Working Group for the Business Infrastructure Development in the Development Region South took place in Cimișlia

On June 12, 2018, the Regional Sectorial Working Group for the Business Infrastructure Development in the Development Region South met in Cimișlia.

The topics addressed by the OPM experts and the working group members were: the retrospective of the activities undertaken by the experts after the meeting in March, the development of the project ideas in viable concepts, the attraction of finances: opportunities at the national, regional and international levels.

Also, the OPM experts presented to the audience the elaborated and applied projects, as well as information about the project concepts developed for later application, the needs assessment made at the first working group meeting.

At the end of the meeting, the members of the working group drew conclusions and identified the next steps in implementing joint activities. They also presented a series of ideas and recommendations for developing viable project concepts for subsequent submission to calls launched or to be launched soon.

It worth mentioning that within the project "Support for facilitating the economic growth of the Development Regions South and ATU Găgăuzia", funded by the UK Government from Good Governance Fund sources through DFID (The Department for International Development), the Regional Sectorial Program „ DEVELOPMENT OF BUSINESS SUPPORT INFRASTRUCTURES”, public policy document, was drafted in June 2016- June 2017 period.

Currently, within another project - "Strengthening the Implementation Capacities of the Regional Sectorial Program for the DEVELOPMENT OF BUSINESS SUPPORT INFRASTRUCTURES", is in progress till July 2018, in the Development Regions Centre, South and ATU Găgăuzia. A series of training workshops for LPAs of I and II levels were launched to improve their capacity to develop new viable project concepts, that can be submitted within open calls and ongoing funding programs.
