Monitoring visit to projects carried in South Region

Recently was held a study visit to projects carried in Cahul namely - "Rehabilitation of leisure and entertainment area "Salt Lake" and "The rehabilitation and modernization of the road of regional importance - str. I. Spirin in Cahul".

Director of Department for Regional Development, MDRC, Valerian Binzaru, convened a meeting with local authorities in Cahul.  At common informational meeting attended by representatives of MDRC, Mayor of Cahul Nicholae Dandis, chief architect of Cahul, the project manager, general contractor and representatives of RDA South. The purpose of the meeting was to inform, to attract attention to the deficiencies of this process of works, on finding constructive solutions and respectively cooperation with the newly formed local governments.


Meeting in Cahul was organized within the project " Rehabilitation of leisure and entertainment area "Salt Lake" which will help to develop the infrastructure of tourism leisure in Southern Region and" Rehabilitation and modernization of the road of regional importance - I. Spirin in Cahul„ in order of sustainable and balanced economic growth of the South Region.

Also, was performed  the monitoring visit at Taraclia, in order to examine the situation within the project ” Improvement the road L654 through capital repair”  which connect the settlements Ceadîr - Lunga, Corten, Taraclia. It was found that at the moment construction works are made entirely on an area of 1, 5 km, and the funds allocated for 2015 (10 mln.lei) were fully valorized by the general contractor. Additionally were made works in value over 10 mln.lei.
