South Regional Development Agency at 5 years of activity - Achievements and Prospects

Cimișlia / December 18, 2014 / South Regional Development Council's festive meeting, to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the South Regional Development Agency

South Regional Development Agency, under the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction (MRDC) organized and held a festive meeting of the South Regional Development Council's (RDC) 5th anniversary.

The event was attended by members of the South RDC, Minister of Regional Development and Construction, Mr. Marcel Răducan, representatives of the MRDC, the German International Cooperation Agency, General Consulate of Romania in Cahul, a delegation from Prahova County Council, representatives of South RDA - Muntenia, regional and local mass media.

The audience was informed of the RDA's activity plan for 2015, but also the Agency's achievement during 2010-2014. Mrs Maria Culeșov, Director of the Agency, made an extensive report on the South RDA's work for 2010-2014.

Members of the South Regional Development Council have unanimously approved the action plan and estimated costs of the organization and functioning of the Agency for 2015.

During the festive meeting, RDC members, officials from MRDC and cooperation partners, were mentioned with diplomas for their efforts in the promotion and development of the South Region.

The event ended with the signing of a cooperation agreement, to mutually beneficial cooperation in regional development, between South RDA and South - Muntenia RDA (Romania).

We reiterate, South Regional Development Agency is a public non-commercial institution with financial autonomy, under the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction, established to ensure full operation of the implementation process and implementation of regional development strategy, founded on December 18, 2009.
