Implementation of the principles in the regional planning for "energy efficiency" focused on the training of representatives as well as other interested actors in working groups. It was a "seminar", but the workshop was a real laboratory, where experts in energy efficiency and buildings, provided advice on energy efficiency for school buildings and public hospitals.

The workshop took place in two stages, so GIZ experts could work carefully on every building proposed by the South Development Regions.

Sergiu Robu, GOPA II expert indicated that "the purpose of the workshop is to develop viable projects. Within the restricted time, every donor had certain requirements that required adjustment. Therefore, they perfected these projects from all viewpoints. "

Tatiana Aramă, Chief of strategic planning in the South RDA specified that even though there are 2 institutions proposed by a district, usually a high school and a hospital, only one will be selected. "I want to remind you that the actual implementation will not be financed by GIZ, only the preparation and perfection of the project".

Activities of the workshop consisted of a thorough analysis of the concepts in the project proposed by the Regional District Councils so that experts could form a clear picture of the proposed calculations and evaluations.

Being organized in the three regions of the country, these workshops are designed to develop the capacities of sectorial planning at regional and local level.
