The Rehabilitation And Modernization Works of Spirin Street from Cahul City Have Been Finished

Spirin Street from Cahul city looks like new now. These days took place the reception of the „Rehabilitation and Modernization of the Regional Importance Road- Ivan Spirin Street from Cahul city" project. This one is implemented by the Regional Development Agency South (RDA South), in partnership with Cahul mayoralty, from National Regional Development Fund sources.

The Reception Committee including the representatives of the Regional Development Agency South; the Cahul mayoralty, the Cahul District Council, the State Construction Inspectorate; the State Ecological Inspectorate; the Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service; Public Health Centre and other institutions empowered with control functions, held a meeting and checked the execution of the works in accordance with law, in the presence of the economic operator, the project manager and the technical responsible.

The members of the reception committee examined step-by-step the fulfilment of the requirements of the contract for the execution of works, the execution documentation and the specific regulations, respecting the essential requirements in construction. They have also verified the deadlines and the finality of the works stipulated in the contract signed between the investor and executor, as well as in the attached documentation.

After the visual checking of the renovated road, the members of the committee have found on the spot some small objections, which are to be removed in short time. They accepted the reception of the rehabilitated object and signed the protocol of the reception of the works within the project for the reconstruction and modernization of the Spirin street in Cahul city.

At the next stage, according to the Regulation regarding the reception of construction works, the final acceptance of the works will take place, after that the reconstructed road will be submitted to the applicant and the beneficiary of the project - the Cahul mayoralty.

It worth mentioning that the project „Rehabilitation and Modernization of the Regional Importance Road- Ivan Spirin Street from Cahul city" started in 2014 and is implemented by RDA South in partnership with Cahul mayoralty together with Cahul, Taraclia and Vulcănești district councils.

2.6 km of road was repaired, with adjoining sidewalks due to this project implementation.

The Spirin street is a way to pass by Cahul city giving access to cars and trucks to Taraclia and Vulcănești.

The repaired street, is going to bring benefits to 41,000 Cahul citizens, as well as to 187,000 Taraclia and Vulcănești districts citizens.

The total cost of the „Rehabilitation and Modernization of the Regional Importance Road- Ivan Spirin Street from Cahul city" project is about 37 million MDL, the overall objective of which is to increase the efficiency of freight and passenger transport in the  Southern Region of the Republic of Moldova by improving the road infrastructure.
