80% of the Thermal Rehabilitation Works of the Cantemir District Hospital Have Been Carried Out

Project Management Specialists from the Regional Development Agency South (RDA South) have recently had a monitoring visit to District Hospital from Cantemir to check the thermal rehabilitation works progress.

Mr Andrei Popuşoi and Mrs Viorica Cuţitaru, the representatives of the RDA South, have noticed that the "Consmodern" LTD workers are performing mainly thermal insulation works of the façade of the surgical block. Roofing activities are also being carried out at one of the medical-sanitary buildings.

The representatives of the RDA South discussed with the technical manager of the project about the volumes and the quality of the executed works, including their compliance with the building regulations and the execution documentation.

Mr Valeriu Gandrabur, the project manager, has provided some performance indicators that reveal the registered progress in the project implementation, he has also specified that the works are taking place at an alert rhythm, 80 % of them have already been executed.

It worth mentioning that the "Thermal rehabilitation of the Cantemir District Hospital" project is implemented by the RDA South and financed from the National Fund for Regional Development. It aims to increase the degree of comfort in the surgical building of the hospital by improving thermal energy consumption inside the building.

This Energy Efficiency project also includes measures of renovation of ventilation system of the Cantemir District Hospital building, carpentry works and solar panels installation.

According to the contract signed by the Regional Development Agency South, Cantemir District Municipality and  "Consmodern" LTD , the value of the construction works is 12.163444 MDL. In order to launch the thermal rehabilitation of the Cantemir District Hospital, 5 million MDL were allocated in 2017 from the National Fund for Regional Development.

This investment project aims to bring benefits to those about 63,000 citizens from Cantemir district that get medical assistance and care from the District Hospital.
