Together with Romania, to which we are connected by a historical past, Latvia, as a member of the European Union, has a potential to which we should aspire too. In the process of the European path, Republic of Moldova needs support from countries which have already achieved this goal. We intend to adopt good local public administration practices and European standards from our Latvian friends. We also hope to implement socio-cultural projects together. That's why we started this partnership, "said Mr. Ion Guţu, the Mayor of Cazangic.

„The most important thing is that this is not a simple signed agreement. Besides this agreement are people, who know each other and collaborate. Coming here, I was pleasantly surprised that I see so many known and unknown to me things. Of course, the signed agreement is the foundation of our future relations and behind it there are beautiful initiatives and people, "said the president of Neretsk region, Mr. Arvids Kviesis.
